One of the main things that I learned in 2008 was that when I am grateful, my business seems to flow effortlessly.  And when I am not grateful, opportunities seem to stop and my business slows down dramatically.  I had many fruitful conversations with my clients at the end of 2008 about the idea of gratitude and how it can impact a business.  There was a time in 2008 when I was completely overwhelmed with a personal issue in my life.  I kept trying to figure it out but I couldn't seem to find the answers.  So, rather than continue to force an answer, I just threw up my hands and I said, "I surrender".  I didn't have the answer, I didn't know what to do and then I just let it go.  Then I turned my attention back to all of the great things in my life and I felt a renewed sense of gratitude for everything that I have.

And guess what happened?
